Conference Overview

Nanotechnology has breached beyond imaginable possibilities and the idea of DNA nanotechnology has led to the explosion of new knowledge. RNA is unique in nanoscale fabrication due to its amazing diversity of function and structure. RNA nanoparticles can be fabricated with a level of simplicity characteristic of DNA while possessing versatile structure and catalytic function similar to that of proteins. A large variety of single stranded loops are suitable for inter- and intra-molecular interactions serving as mounting dovetails in self-assembly without the need for external linking dowels. Novel properties of RNA nanoparticles have been explored for treatment and detection of diseases and various other realms.

The 2010 international conference on RNA nanotechnology will be the first of its kind to bring together more than 30 invited speakers of the brightest minds throughout the world to disseminate their knowledge involving RNA nanotechnology and its applications. This meeting aims to promote collaboration among the researchers for advancing this interesting emerging field of science. The scientific presentations have been set from 3:00 pm October 23 to noon October 25. The venue will be the beautiful Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Cleveland, OH immediately following the 2010 RNA Rustbelt Meeting, a well-established conference for US mid-western RNA scientists to gather from noon Oct 22 to 2:00pm Oct 23. Registration is currently open! Poster sessions and 30 minute invited talks by the renowned scientists will take place throughout, ending with a poster award ceremony and a brief meeting of conference chairs/affiliates to discuss the future of the conference in RNA nanotechnology.

We ensure that you will find the meeting presentations pioneering, awe-inspiring, and beyond the imagination!
